Project: Fr3sh<\/strong> are from Chicago and they’re putting out hot independent hip hop music. They are making much noise on the underground scene and their single, Flashy that’s getting rave reviews. I caught up the Penn, 1\/3 of the crew and gave him the indiehiphop.net Q&A.<\/p>\n

1. What inspired you to get into hip hop? <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> Honestly, when Diddy started rapping I thought I could to lol so I started writing and recording and noticed I had a knack for it and stuck with it. Over the years I got better with it and in college I thought I could make a career out of it b\/c having a 9-5 job for the rest of my life wasn\u2019t gon get it.<\/p>\n

2. If you were a super hero, what powers would you choose and what would be your name?<\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> I\u2019d prolly be able to do everything extremely dope as my power lol. That includes anything from swimming to archaeology. And I\u2019d add on everything Superman can do minus that kryptonite part\u2026 I don\u2019t know what my name would be\u2026 prolly the Coldest or somethin idk lol.<\/p>\n

3. If you could deck a famous person in public and get away with it, who would it be? <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> It would prolly be young Berg. <\/p>\n

4. If you were approached to do a reality show, what whould be the name of it? <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> The name would have to have Project: Fr3sh incoporated into it some kind of way. Fr3shman TV or somethin like that.<\/p>\n

5. Your girl caught you leaving the theater with another girl, give me your best lie. <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> \u201cI can\u2019t lie\u2026 she looks better than you\u201d lol<\/p>\n

6. What do you love and hate about hip hop? <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> Love the freedom and creativity it allows you to have as an artist but I hate the dumb shit (ie beef, internet tough talk videos) that we seem to have to deal with lately.<\/p>\n

7. What’s the dopest shit about your city? <\/strong><\/p>\n

P:<\/strong> It\u2019s not like Chicago in the summer time. From Downtown, to out west and the Southside\u2026 it\u2019s just the shit!<\/p>\n
