About the project:
Location: Vallejo, California “Bay Area”:
Skelly Skel , the brainchild of the group, is a producer and DJ. Skel says, “The project was conceived while attending college for digital technology and audio engineering at Cogswell College and later Berklee College of Music. The concept behind MG4C centers around the music scene being full of a lot animated characters who seemed to have personality disorders. The trap movement was growing rapidly, and more and more of these characters kept appearing. Many of them, like cartoons, could never be killed. Rappers were taking on public images that weren’t truly themselves, and were turning their backs on the roots of HipHop. Or they ended up changing to some degree because of this or that. The entertainment factor was killing off the conscious factor. ”
Murder Gloves for Cartoons consists of three members all of which are portrayed by Skelly Skel in real life: Averse Emcee, Androneous Monk and DJ Skelly Skel. Skel is the composer, producer, emcee(s), dj and contributed to 1/4 of the engineering.
Check it out. It’s a refreshing contribution to the current landscape of hip hop that’s sorely lacking the kind of creative concepts that Murder Gloves for Cartoons delivers.
It’s on IHH so I fux wit it.
