Sean’s Mic Tyson is still on repeat. I saw this video though and immediately thought to myself, “This violent imagery is what a lot of people have issues with when it comes to hip hop music.” Context is everything. Why aren’t people picking on movies and video games that oftentimes display a lot more violence? Well, because it’s far easier to attack an individual then to go after a corporation. I do however feel that settling conflict with violence as the first and only option, especially with guns, is foolish and cowardly. I do hold hip hop artists accountable for their actions outside of the booth. Keep that bullshit on the record, build your career, and strive for longevity. Fans, don’t be weak minded. This shit is entertainment. Treat it as such.
